Outside the professional realm, I am a wife and mother. My four-year-old, Nathan, is a constant reminder of how important it is to maintain a healthy imagination, to dream, and to keep things in perspective. It would be foolish to reinvent the wheel, however, sometimes wheels get stuck in a rut and one needs to adjust appropriately. Language, both visual and verbal, is extremely interesting to me. I am a crossword aficionado, a punster, and fascinated by the layers of meaning and interpretations embodied within all forms of language. I spent a year in Siena, Italy teaching English and immersing myself in the study of Italian language and culture. In addition, I was a dancer in Ballerini Italiani, an Italian Folk Dance Ensemble in Berks county, for many years. I welcome the opportunity to come together with others who speak Italian to chat and enjoy an espresso.
